Held across the street from Brooklyn Defenders' Community Office in East New York, the It Takes a Village Back-To-School Giveaway on September 2nd, organized by Success Community Garden, offered an opportunity for local residents to meet, have fun, and enjoy the beautiful day, while obtaining essential school supplies and learning about a wide range of available services and resources.

Stationed at the entrance of the gardens, members of our team welcomed everyone who entered, providing event-goers with information and materials about various legal issues and to field questions regarding housing, ACS, re-entry, and various other topics of importance to the community. We thank Success Community Garden for the invitation and look forward to partnering in the future!
