Hundreds of community members from across Brooklyn joined us at Success Community Garden in East New York for our Back to School Barbecue & Resource Fair on August 21st. The afternoon brought together the community for a day of connection, support, and preparation for the new school year. Between the perfect weather, excellent food, and lively music the event, located across the street from Brooklyn Defenders’ Community Office (566 Livonia Ave), provided a welcoming space for local residents to gather, enjoy the gorgeous day, and access essential school supplies and resources.
