Staff Attorney, Integrated Defense Practice
Jessica Nitsche has worked as a staff attorney in the Family Defense Practice since 2011 and currently works in the Integrated Defense Practice where she represents clients in both criminal and family court.
Jessica is a graduate of New York Law School where she was a Joseph Solomon Public Interest Fellow and was awarded the Barbara L. Levine Memorial Public Interest Scholarship. During law school, Jessica interned at South Brooklyn Legal Services in the Family Law Unit and Safe Horizon’s Domestic Violence Law Project where she provided comprehensive legal assistance to domestic violence survivors.
Jessica also participated in community outreach initiatives and provided domestic violence survivors living in shelters with education about their rights. While interning at Manhattan Legal Services in the Housing Unit, Jessica assisted low-income tenants in non-payment and holdover cases in Housing Court.
Jessica earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Richmond in 2007. She is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. Jessica is committed to representing low-income clients and is honored to be part of the Integrated Defense at BDS.
