Pro Bono Counsel
As Pro Bono Counsel, Jessica Nitsche is responsible for developing and supervising the organization’s pro bono program across all practices. Ms. Nitsche also assists criminal and family defense attorneys to navigate family and criminal cross-over issues and to coordinate defenses to ensure the best outcome for clients. Ms. Nitsche regularly presents trainings to new attorneys about multidisciplinary issues. In addition, Ms. Nitsche advises clients at the Community Office on a wide range of legal issues and develops trainings and workshops for clients and practitioners at the Community Office. Ms. Nitsche previously worked as an attorney in the BDS Family Defense Practice and the Integrated Defense Practice where she represented clients in both child protective and criminal proceedings.
Ms. Nitsche is a graduate of New York Law School where she was a Joseph Solomon Public Interest Fellow and was awarded the Barbara L. Levine Memorial Public Interest Scholarship. Ms. Nitsche earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Richmond. She is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
