Litigation Assistant, Family Defense Practice
Maesha joined BDS’ Family Defense Practice on September 2017. Prior to that, she worked with the Police Reform Organizing Project for 2 years to promote, research, and advocate for abolishing Broken Windows Policing and then, as a campaign coordinator for Robert Gangi’s 2017 mayoral campaign. She graduated from Hunter College with a BA in Political Science and Philosophy as well as a certificate in Human Rights.
Maesha is passionate about politics – both practical and theoretical – and advocating for true social, racial, and economic justice for all people. She is also passionate about Bangladeshi history and mapping the Bengali diaspora.
In her free time, Maesha enjoys reading, watching movies, and traveling.
