Team Leader, Staff Attorney
Elizabeth Seymour represents adolescents and adults in Kings County Criminal and Supreme Courts. Liz has defended thousands of clients against charges ranging from marijuana violations to shootings. She has also litigated matters in Family Court and at administrative hearings.
Liz is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar and Senior Articles Editor on the N.Y.U. Review of Law and Social Change. During law school, Liz interned at Howard University School of Law’s Civil Rights Clinic, K&L Gates, LLP, and the Legal Aid Society’s Adolescent Intervention and Diversion Project. She also participated in clinics at the ACLU and the Brooklyn Family Defense Project. Liz holds a B.A. in English, magna cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University. She spent her junior year studying English literature at St. Peter’s College, Oxford University.
For three years after college, Liz worked on access to higher education at the Institute of International Education in New York City and Washington, DC. In the 14 months immediately before law school, Liz worked, volunteered, and traveled in Poland, Israel, Honduras, and Nicaragua. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
