Staff Attorney, Immigration Practice
Antonia House joined Brooklyn Defender Services’ Immigration Practice in August 2017. Prior to joining BDS, Antonia worked as an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow at Make the Road New York (MRNY), where she represented non-citizens in removal proceedings and provided legal support for MRNY’s community-based organizing and advocacy. Antonia graduated magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was an Institute of International Law and Justice Scholar. During her second and third years of law school, Antonia was a student advocate in NYU’s Immigrant Rights Clinic, where her client-based and advocacy work was focused on the intersections of criminal and immigration law.
Antonia has an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from New York University, and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She is a native New Yorker and speaks Spanish, French and Arabic.
