Staff Attorney, Family Defense Practice
Brian Holbrook joined the Family Defense Practice in 2017. From 2013-2017, he was an associate with Grais & Ellsworth LLP, where among other matters he worked with Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York to provide pro bono representation to New York state prisoners challenging disciplinary proceedings. From 2012-2013, he clerked for Judge Harris Hartz of the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Brian received his J.D. in 2012 from Yale Law School, where he worked with the Liman Project to compile a 50-state survey of prison rules for imposing solitary confinement. He received his B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College in 2009.
Brian is excited to represent low-income parents to resist government intrusion in their lives and keep families together.
