Marco Herrera Carino
Paralegal, Immigration Practice
Marco Herrera was born in Puebla, Mexico and crossed the border at a very young age. He received citizenship and graduated from John Jay College with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. During his time there, he found the complications of the criminal justice procedure beyond ideal and delayed entry into law school. Marco entered the world of nonprofits providing administrative support and organizing events. He is excited to bring his skills to Brooklyn Defenders and make a difference.
In his spare time, Marco is an amateur athlete of all callings. He researches Mesoamerican culture, diet, and health which he tries to implement into his daily life for his website.
