Supervising Attorney, Civil Justice Practice
Anca Grigore originally hails from Florida through Romanian background. Stemming from a life of interest in communities and how they were managed, she majored in political science at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where she graduated magna cum laude.
After a brief stint working in non-profit development at Human Rights Watch, Anca went to George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. She tirelessly followed her public interest leanings while attending school by working with the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Public Defender Service Community Reentry Program, and the Immigration Clinic. She interspersed these experiences with work in New York, ultimately where she wanted to be, working at various New York public interest shops, including the Urban Justice Center.
After completing a successful fellowship with Brooklyn Defender Services, Anca is thrilled to join the Civil Justice Practice in helping to defend Brooklyn residents and looks forward to putting her cat Pickle up on the pet picture wall.
