Social Worker, Family Defense Practice
Alexandra Estevez earned her M.S.W. from Florida State University. Her internship at a substance abuse outpatient program in Florida fueled her interest in working with families affected by the family court system. Prior to completing her graduate studies, she provided community case management services to individuals pending release from jail that would benefit from linkage to community resources. Afterwards, she worked as a Parent Educator and was a part of an interdisciplinary team whose focus was to support and advocate for women in substance abuse treatment with children under the age of five. As a parent educator, Alexandra received training in the Parents As Teachers evidence based model and Dr. Brazelton touchpoints. Alexandra is fluent in Spanish and is proud to have served in the Florida Army National Guard while obtaining her B.S.W at the University of South Florida. She is honored to advocate for parents in Brooklyn.
