Isa Chakarian joined Brooklyn Defender Services in 2012. She is thrilled to be working at BDS where she is devoted to the zealous defense of her clients.
Isa graduated from CUNY School of Law in 2012. As a student there, she participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic where she represented clients in Queens county criminal court under the mentorship of Nicole Smith and Steve Zeidman. While at CUNY, Isa also interned at the Legal Aid Society in the Special Litigation Unit and Criminal Defense Division. In 2011, Isa published an article entitled, “Earning the Right to Remain Silent After Berghuis v. Thompkins,” in Volume 15.1 of the City University of New York Law Review.
