Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow
Danelly Bello is an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow with the Padilla Youth and Community team. She is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a recipient of the E. Nathaniel Gates Scholarship and the Jacob Burns Medal. Danelly participated in two full-year clinics – the Immigration Justice Clinic and the Criminal Defense Clinic – in order to maximize her exposure working with noncitizen clients with criminal convictions. During law school, she participated in two national moot court competitions, including the 2017 NYU Immigration Moot Court Competition, taking first place in both. Danelly is the daughter of Dominican immigrants, grew up in the Bronx, and is fluent in Spanish.
Danelly is a graduate of the University at Albany in 2014, where she studied Criminal Justice, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and Sociology.
